Handcrafted in Nepal by skilled artisans, the San D rug derives its name from the Chinese term for “Three Dimensional.” “San” signifies three, mirroring the three-layered designs, while “D” represents dimension. When pronounced “Di,” it also evokes the Chinese words for floor (“Dimian”) and carpet (“Ditan”). Comprising 50% silk and 50% Himalayan wool, this rug boasts a density of 152,000 knots per square meter, with a base height of .05 cm and a design height of .07 cm. Offering customizable options in dimension, color, composition, shape, and pile heights, this piece epitomizes personalized luxury. Antistain treatment is also available upon request.
